Build yourself up at Lego Club! This monthly program for kids in grades 3-8 offers the opportunity to be creative while building with Legos. This month, participants will work together to create a city out of Legos! Grades K-8 are invited to attend North Dickinson’s session, no registration required!

Library olympics

Friday, March 8 from 5:00-6:00 PM @ Main Branch

March is reading month, and we are celebrating with Library Olympics for kids ages 5-10! This fun program will include a variety of library-related events for kids to participate in! Events include an obstacle course, noodle throw, Olympic ring toss, and more. Participants can make their own Olympic torch and will receive a special Dickinson County Library medal! No registration required.

Bow Wows and books

Wednesday, March 13 at 5:00 PM @ Main Branch

Patrons of all ages and reading abilities can practice their reading skills by reading aloud to therapy dogs Azul, a Siberian Husky-mix and Diogee, a Sheepadoodle. Registration begins on Wednesday, March 6; please call (906) 774-1218 to sign up for a 15-minute time slot with either or both dogs!

The Art of being

Saturday, March 16 from 1:00-3:00 PM @ Main Branch

This drop-in program is designed for patrons in Grade 5 and up that are currently battling cancer, are survivors of cancer, and for those that are/have been caregivers (includes family, friends, medical persons, etc.). Each month a craft will be available for attendees to do if they wish; March will be lightbulb suncatchers. This is also a safe space to share experiences and meet others.

Build a peep house

Friday, March 22 at 5:00 PM @ Main Branch

Kids in grades 3-8 will be challenged to build a house for a marshmallow peep with various food items. This year there will be no public voting, instead participants can take home their creations right away and a goody bagRegistration is required and begins Friday, March 15; please call (906) 774-1218 to sign up!
