Lego Club

Build yourself up at Lego Club! This monthly program for kids in grades 3-8 offers an opportunity to be creative and have fun while building with Legos! This month participants will work together to build an upside-down city.

Intro to tarot reading

Monday, June 12 from 6:00-8:00 PM @ Main Branch

Aimee Doyle will present a program to tweens, teens, and adults on tarot reading for fun and entertainment purposes. She will share her background information on tarot, teach how it is done, and then do some readings for patrons.

Learning to read doesn’t have to be intimidating, especially when you have a furry friend at your side! Kids of all ages are invited to practice their literacy skills by reading aloud to therapy dogs Azul, a Siberian Husky-Mix and Diogee, a Sheepadoodle. Family puzzle challenge

Families and individuals will work together to complete our 1-hour puzzle challenge. There will be different levels based upon the age of the oldest participant in the group. Upon completion, prizes will be awarded. Open to grades 3-adult.

Juggling jamboree with nick thomas

As seen on ABC's "The Gong Show " Nick Thomas provides a family friendly, high energy, hilarious juggling act, with audience participation for all ages! It not only includes juggling, but some ball spinning, magic, balloons, yo-yo and more!

Exotic pet rescue- children's program

Child and family-friendly information on various rescue animals will be featured as well as the live animals themselves. Opportunities to pet the animals and take photos will be provided. Open to all ages.

Vietnamese spring rolls with ming louie

Bad art night/third thursday art crawl

All ages are invited to join us on Wednesday, June 19 to create bad art masterpieces. The bad art will be displayed at Downtown Iron Mountain’s June Third Thursday Art Crawl located throughout Downtown Iron Mountain. Patrons may pick up their creations Friday, June 21 at the Main Branch. 

Silent disco

Friday, July 21 at 6:30 PM @ Main Branch

Tweens and teens are invited to join us for a special after-hours Silent Disco. The reading room will be magically transformed for a fun-filled night of glow in the dark dancing and activities such as Corn Hole, Twister, and more!  Participants will get wireless headphones to listen to music and snacks will be provided. Please arrive by 6:25 PM as the library doors will be locked at 6:30 PM.

Celebrate the end of Summer Reading “all together now” with games and crafts for kids of all ages including flower power bingo, paper flower crowns, and ring toss. Adults and teens will take on your local librarians in the Are You Smarter Than the Librarians Trivia Challenge. The game will be set up in rounds and culminate to the challenge against our librarian who was featured on the game show Jeopardy.

Popcorn pajama party
