Latest Update on Our Reopening Plan

The Dickinson County Library is thrilled to offer more and more services as it moves further in its Phased Reopening Plan. We are in Phase 6.
Both the children’s room and the Local History Room are now open for browsing at the Main Branch. Appointments are no longer necessary to visit any library branch, so stop in at any time. We have plenty of new fiction books, non-fiction books, audiobooks, and DVDs for all ages! In addition, library card holders can now check out select newspapers for a 24-hour lending period. Current issues and all The Daily News issues are not eligible for checkout.
A limited number of public computers are available, and computer time is limited to one hour per patron per day.
For those looking for meeting space at the Main Branch, the Local History Room can be reserved for groups of six or less and a small meeting room is available for individuals. The Multi-Purpose Room is now available for larger group reservations!
A new feature at the Main Branch is a pair of exercise bikes. Patrons are welcome to read a book or magazine or use our iPad mini with earbuds while getting light exercise. Please, no vigorous exercise, no food or drink, and the use of headphones or earbuds is required with all audio. Inquire at the circulation desk for more information.
In case you missed it, we are offering hotspot tablets for a 14-day lending period to adult library card holders.
These devices can function either as an Internet-connected tablet or as a hotspot that can provide Internet access for up to eight separate devices. Each comes loaded with helpful apps, such as Libby for eBooks and audiobooks, and so much more. Please note, signal strength may vary by location and the library does not guarantee connectivity in all areas.
As always, Friends of the Library Book Sale items are available to browse and purchase in the room behind the computer lab at the Main Branch. Prices are marked on a sign in the room. New items are added all the time, so check back often!
