Summer Reading Kick off-Glaser's Reptarium

Kristen and Eric Glaser will present about their exotic pets including snakes, tarantulas, and lizards at this all age program to kick off Summer Reading 2024: Adventure Begins at Your Library. Opportunities to take photos and hold the animals will be available. The public is welcome to attend North Dickinson’s session. Please ring the doorbell and school staff will let you in.

Lego CluB

Build yourself up at Lego Club! This monthly program for kids in grades K-8 offers the opportunity to be creative while building with Legos. This month, participants will be challenged to build famous landmarks from around the world. No registration required

Passport to adventure with clear lake education center

Wednesday, June 12 from 1:00-2:30 PM @ Main Branch
Kids ages 5-12 will join the library and the Clear Lake Education Center for activities surrounding outdoor adventures such as hiking safely, leave no trace, wildlife, tracking, water safety, and more!

Patrons of all ages and reading abilities can practice their reading skills by reading aloud to therapy dogs, Azul, a Siberian Husky-mix and Diogee, a Sheepadoodle. Local author Ashtyn Parent will read and talk about her book, “Protectors of the Skies” with kids in kindergarten-4th grade. This book talks about the constellations and how and why explorers used them to guide their adventures. Books will be available for purchase and signing. Following the reading, attendees can create galaxy jars to take home. No registration required

Mario Party-Library edition

Monday, July 1-Saturday, July 13 during library hours @ Main Branch
Live action Mario Party for all ages at your library! Groups of 2-6 people can register for a time slot to play. The game board will be based off Kemek's Library. Upon checking in at the desk, the staff will give you a dice and instruction sheet/ score card. Take turns moving spaces on the board and playing mini games after each round. 10 rounds will be allotted per group. Participants will get to choose their choice of Mario Themed prize at the end.
