Local History Room: The Main Branch houses various resources related to the local area and Michigan history including: biographies, city directories, centennial books, genealogical information, compiled obituary records, and much more. Come in and browse today!

Microfilm machine: The Main Branch has microfilm machines available to view reels of historic newspapers. View the list of available newspapers by clicking here. You may print screenshots at a cost of 25 cents per page or save to a flash drive for free.

Reference searches: Library staff will conduct reference searches for out-of-county patrons for a fee. The cost is $5 for up to 15 minutes of research, and $5 for every additional 15 minutes. Microfilm screenshots cost 25 cents each, and any black and white photocopies or printed pages cost 10 cents each. Postage fees may be charged, as well. Payment must be received by the library before the research will be delivered. Please call the Main Branch and ask for the reference desk to get started.
