September is Library Card Sign-Up Month at the Dickinson County Library! During Library Card Sign-Up Month, the American Library Association and libraries across the country celebrate the humble library card, and remind parents that a library card is the most important school supply of all. Students can turn to the library for materials, programs, and knowledgeable library staff, all of which support academic achievement. To celebrate Library Card Sign-Up Month, all new patrons ages 18 and up who sign-up for a library card during the month of September at the Dickinson County Library and Branches will be entered to win a gift card! Current patrons can also be entered to win by adding an email address to their contact information, or confirming the email address we have on file!

We will hold a prize drawing for a total of three Kindle Fire tablets, at 10:30 AM, 11:00 AM, and 11:30 AM. Free Outdoor Movie NightThe Calvary Lutheran Church in Quinnesec and the Bethany Lutheran Church in Norway present a Free Outdoor Movie Night on Monday, August 21st at the DDA Stage in Downtown Iron Mountain.
Music will begin at 7 PM with the featured movie, “Inside Out,” showing at 8:30 PM at the Iron Mountain
