Learn how to take care of our planet during this Earth Day storytime session for kids age 0-5! Required registration for the Main Branch sessions opens April 15.

Wiggle Worms: Opposites

This special storytime session geared toward babies age 0 to 18 months will focus on songs and activities that increase coordination, muscle strength, and a love of reading! Required registration opens April 15.

Stamp Camp
Tuesday, April 30, 6-8:30 PM @ Main Branch

The Northwoods Philatelic Society will host a Stamp Camp for kids, and parents are encouraged to join in on the fun! Participants will learn about stamps, collecting, how to remove stamps from paper, and other hands-on activities with catalogs, watermarking, and more.

Therapy dogs Thor, an English Mastiff, and Clara, a Yorkshire Terrier, are your partners in this reading adventure. Tea with Me
Saturday, May 11, 1-2 PM @ Main Branch

Kids of all ages and their parents are invited to a tea party storytime at the library! We will read “Tea Rex” by Molly Idle, decorate cookies, and do crafts. Lego Challenge
Wednesday, May 15, 6-8 PM @ Main Branch

Legos aren’t just for kids; they can provide a fun and educational pastime for all ages! In this program for high-schoolers and adults, participants will get a challenge card to make a Lego creation. See how many cards you can complete in one hour!
 

Drop In Game Day
Saturday, May 18, 9 AM-3:30 PM @ Main Branch

It’s all fun and games at the library! We’ll have a cart of board games ready to use and plenty of table space. Just bring a few of your best gaming friends and you’re all set! For all ages.
 

Odyssey Seekers Club: The Wonder of Your Birthstone
Saturday, May 18, 2-3 PM @ Main Branch

Sherri Erickson from Erickson Jewelers will present fascinating information about birthstones at this program for kids in grades 3 through 8! She also will show how customized pieces are made from wax molds and sketches.
 

Look Up to the Stars
Thursday, May 23, 7-9 PM @ Main Branch

Meet Kevin Manning, an astronomer who worked as a NASA consultant! He will teach kids in grade 2 and up about the moon, planets, and stars, and allow them to observe these celestial objects through high-powered telescopes. This will provide a great introduction to this year’s Summer Reading theme: Space!
 

Memorial Day Closures

All branches of the Dickinson County Library will be closed on Sunday, May 26 and Monday, May 27 for the Memorial Day holiday.
Regular, year-round hours resume Tuesday, May 28 at all branches.

of Dickinson County! All youth oriented library programs will be posted on the calendar as well as on this page.
