Celebrate the Friends of the Dickinson County Library During National Friends of Libraries Week

The Friends of the Dickinson County Library have supported the library in various ways through their annual book sales, donating money toward library programming, volunteering during library programs including the Christmas Walk and Summer Reading festivities, and other measures. We thank them for all their time and service toward us and the community!

Join the Overdrive Big Library Read!
Big Library Read is a worldwide digital book club, and you're invited to join in! All library card holders can borrow the title at any time during the program from the library’s downloadable books website Overdrive to participate in the Big Library Read. The Big Library Read selection is Anatomy of a Misfit by Andrea Portes. This title will be available on Overdrive October 13 through 28.
Anatomy of a Misfit by Andrea Portes is also the Young at Heart Book Club selection for October! The Young at Heart Book Club is open to people of all ages and experiences, and we welcome you to attend and speak about this great new book! The Young at Heart Book Club will meet on Wednesday, October 22, 6:00 PM at the Dickinson County Library.

Don't miss out on the Michigan Activity Pass (MAP) program has begun for 2014!
Beginning May 24, you can print a pass, either
from home or at the library, to one of the 100+ participating cultural institutions at the Michigan Activity Pass website. Some cultural partners offer complimentary or reduced price admission; others, discounts in their gift shop or other exclusive offers for MAP pass holders only.
Each Michigan Activity Pass expires one week from the date it is printed.
